The UMF grading system appraises the natural markers found in Manuka honey and assures purity and quality. UMF is one of a number of different grading systems adopted throughout the world. MGO
MGO stands for the natural chemical methylglyoxal, sometimes referred to as MG. Methylglyoxal is the naturally occurring compound found and identified in genuine New Zealand Manuka honey.
